Australian Wine Companion 2013

James Halliday, 94 points

Clear red - purple; in some vintages Mount Barker can produce pinot with marked varietal character, and '10 was one of these; it has obvious bramble/forest floor/spice characters, but a deep well of cherry and plum fruit to meet the challenge. Complex and enjoyable now, and should remain so through the rest of this decade.
