Opened up to show ripe berries and well-handled oak... An attractive balance of red and dark fruits, with spice aromas and floral elements. Fleshy palate with sweet fruits and a delicate mouthfeel. A good balance of sweet and savoury... There‘s a fine, yet defined tannin structure and the acidity is still in balance. The wine‘s ready to be enjoyed and will age well.
Crushed blackberries and spice nose, impressive, succulent mouthfeel, stunningly expressed fruit and great length – this is one of the country’s best Shiraz.
Medium to full bodied, it fills the mouth with pure ripe berry flavours supported by lively acid and a medium level of rounded tannins, finishing long.
Delicately perfumed on the nose and beautifully worked fruit and tannins. A special wine for a special meal.
Healthy deep crimson. Tangy, lively and very ripe. Fine and boisterous.
Polished and focused, with peppery, savoury aromas and flavours around a lithe core of blackberry, dark plum and wet earth character, all of it mingling together harmoniously on the finish. This has presence and depth.
Horse and leather saddle bouquet. Oaky and spicy veneer over deep and dark layers of blackberry fruits. A powerful wine with a blackberry finish.
Meaty, peppery, smoky bacon, soft tannins that have a lovely chalkiness. Refreshing, refined - really very good and good value.
A very modern Australian Shiraz – superbly ripe, juicy and spicy, with white pepper and lots of black fruit. Structured and rich, with long, knitted tannins, it’s also an elegant wine with a refreshing acidity. Notes of chocolate and oak.
Rich, fleshy, flashy nose of red and black fruit, rhubarb and custard. Ripe, sweet juicy fruit, with a nice structure and texture.
This is a favourite Aussie cool climate Shiraz, consistently good and the 09 is no exception... There’s plenty of lift and layer with top notes of five spice and eucalypt and darker, meatier Szechuan pepper, clove, smoky bacon and mocha to its concentrated sweet boysenberry and juicy blackberry fruit. Ripe but present tannins frame the fruit and lend texture. Lots to like.
Deep colour, vibrant hue; deep and compelling levels of ripe black fruits, savoury spices and well handled toasty oak; the palate is unctuous and silky, with black and red fruits combining with silky fine-grained tannins expanding across the palate with true grace and harmony; long and luscious.
