Liberty Hires Third Apprentice
Liberty Wines has hired Adam Dugmore as the third apprentice under its pioneering scheme.
Following in the footsteps of apprentices Michelle Lawlor and Nicola Cornelius, Adam began his intensive 24-month 'hands-on' training programme in October 2009. In addition to periods in Liberty´s customer services, marketing, shipping, warehouse and finance departments, Adam will be working alongside the on-trade and off-trade sales teams, and will work a vintage with Liberty producers in both the Old and New Worlds. He will also be sponsored to study the WSET Diploma.
Liberty's first apprentice, Michelle Lawlor, has now completed her apprenticeship and has been appointed as Liberty salesperson for North London. Nicola Cornelius is undertaking the final months of her apprenticeship.
Liberty Wines Managing Director David Gleave MW comments: "The Liberty Apprentice scheme was established in conjunction with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust to recruit talented people and provide them with the sort of training in all facets of the wine industry required to develop their careers. We have been pleased with the programme´s success and are delighted to welcome Adam to the Liberty team."
Liberty Wines will begin recruiting for its next apprentice in July 2010.
